Terrel... good feedback thanks! Your last paragraph raised another question I've always had, especially in the "new" version of the game.

What is the deadline for checking effort and jockey instructions. I was always under impression it was before entries were made. But sounds like you are saying at least jockey style can be changed after races are drawn?

I always wonder about that also....when I enter my horses I set the instructions the day I enter.....now as I said when I have horses running in stake races and if I get any of my 3 own jockeys then I go and select for the jockey to do their own thing.....but since you brought the question up,,i have a horse running in a gr2 in NY on a sloppy track Saturday....it 5:00pm central time and I just set her instructions to on the lead.....she normally break in the middle of the pack at 50 race instructions.....so ill see if jockey instructions work with her tomorrow and let you know..

I THINK YOU CAN ENTER or change riding inst. or effort till the race goes off
wow you guys are breeding some great combos the 2 yo stakes races is going to be good !!!!
As far as Jockey selection, I go to each track about every 4 months and review the jocks. I look at the percentage of wins and ITM %,
I will remove or add as jockeys get hot and then cool off. I pick 3 of the top jocks for each track and set pay for that jock .
Most the time I get them, As I said before it has made a big difference in wins and ITM % and when I have a top Jock on my horse I dont worry about the Jockey inst.

I went to the source and sent a text to Mike... I asked him about deadline to enter jockey/effort instructions.

He said it's 12 hrs before the race time.

Nice, like City of Light.

FYI - I just went through and updated all my jocks for all races yet to be carded. See if I notice any differences.
