Contest ideas for 2021 - feedback wanted

Hi everyone,

Looking for some ideas for new contests for 2021. Anyone have some ideas? Maybe some team contests?

I was thinking of restarting the hold "Hold-em" contest we ran a few years back. See here. Needs to be updated to match the new game, but you get the general idea.

Also will run a couple editions of the Freshman Sire content and noticed we didn't run the Claiming Challenge in 2020, so maybe bring that back.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

i use to run the triple crown races back in the day when i had the funds....maybe we can run a triple crown here again....it will cost alot to run a colt and filly division of 6 races so maybe try something different that dont cost alot......ask mike how much a discount for 3 races....we can start saving up for the races now.....

run a open triple crown to were each resident run 2 horses,,a colt and filly....have to run the same horses in each race.....score system of 1st-5th or how ever.......horse with the most points at the end of the contest win....top 3 trainers win credits and horse from pool or how ever....

what about a old horse contest...6yo and up...3 races.....if we have any lol....

what about a exata or trifecta contest.......pick a race with min of 10 horses and players have to pick the top 2 winners or 3 finishers in the race in box order or straight order......

Im always in and I like Terrel's idea on a triple crown race but I think we have to have m & f races

Just running the numbers via what is available in the game, it's around 6100 credits for 6 races (3 each gender). These are for restricted Stakes races (doesn't allow us to restrict Graded races).

Counting in prizes and such, probably looking at approx 7000 credits.

I'd suggest we just do open company if anything, and if someone has a filly that is good enough, she can run vs boys. Or we can do the races as Allowance and that cuts the costs way down.

I can reach out to Mike to see if he'd give us any further discount.

Reached out to Mike, he is willing to offer a discount on TC races. We need to figure exactly what we want to do, meaning just one series (open) or splitting int two divisions (6 races).

My vote would be 2 set of races Male and female to mirror the real triple crown races 30 days apart for 3 YOs
