Feel free to post suggestions on how to draw large fields.

Ok, here is what I am thinking for prizes.

- 250 credits to the winning horse in each leg
- 500 credits to the horse with the most points. If this is a Triple Crown winner, these credits will go to the next highest point earner (see below).

Accumulate points in all races to win the additional credits.

1st = 10 points
2nd = 8 points
3rd = 7 points
4th = 6 points
5th = 5 points
etc...

How does all of this sound? I don't think we can fund a fillies division this year as the person who usually sponsors this (Terrel) is not around. Thus it's not in the NWRC "budget". Also because of this the races will need to be Allowance. If we ran it as usual, we are looking at 9000 just in credits which is 6 (3 each sex) races x 1500 credits (stakes + password)

Sorry guys!! It's either put all of our credits in this basket or save some for other contests.

Based on contest turnouts lately I think having a filly division would be a waste. We'll probably only draw 8-10 owners for the race as it is (the usuals maybe 1 or 2 others) so let the girls run against the boys I say :)

It's sad to think that we couldn't come up with at least 10 fillies from residents to put together a field. Again, this is probably the next best residency event after the Cavalcade Cup. If people aren't even going to participate in these races, what is their reasoning for joining a residency?

For what it is worth, I will have a colt and a filly (if their is a filly division) ready to run.
