I'm thinking we should do another edition of the claiming challenge with some different restrictions....
The current edition was Dirt Males, should we do Dirt F&M or maybe Turf races? Should we make an age requirement. Nothing under 5 yr old?
If you are interested, please post your thoughts.
Thanks,
Will

Re: Next claiming challenge
Anything is fine with me--turf sounds like a good idea. I didn't get into the last Claiming Challenge but I want to this time around. Thanks, Will!! Nice to see a bit of a spurt of life back in the NWRC lately.
You are doing a great job!! Rich

Re: Next claiming challenge
Sounds good to me to Will...Great job
How about a 6 to 8 year old Turf Sprint Claiming Challenge for F&M
or even a 3 year old only F&M Claiming Chalenge on Turf

Re: Next claiming challenge
This is definitely something I'd be into doing. I'm fine with any restrictions and will be making some claims here in the near future as I clear out some of my old runners.

Re: Next claiming challenge
I'm in regardless but would like to try a Turf edition
Re: Next claiming challenge [details inside]
Ok, let's do this...
Surface: Turf
Age: 4yo+
Sex: F & M
Details are the same as last edition...
1) Claim a horse:
a. 2 weeks to claim (will add 3rd week if it means more than one entry)
b. Must be claimed for less than $25k
c. No 100 SP's in the last 8 races. These are the races "visible" when viewing a horse.
d. Sex = F & M
e. 1st race will be 2 weeks after deadline to claim passes. So basically 4 weeks is best case.
2) Run 3 races at various distances, 6f, 8f, 9f on TURF.
3) Scoring:
a. Accumulate points over 3 races (Example, 1st = 10 pts, 2nd = 7, 3rd = 5, 4th = 3, 5th = 1).
4) How to win:
a. Most total points after 3 races
b. Horse with highest non-winning SP
c. Fewest points scored (must earn at least 1 pt to be eligible)

Yup, this coming week and next.
You can even look at RODOTS if you'd like.
