Maybe just for this contest you could put, that no claimer races for horses entered in contest or (as you have stated) if you do, you do it at your own risk.
I dont think any of us would claim a horse just to knock it out of the contest (i dont think) but if it happens the person who did this is taking out of the contest all together. The player that got his horse claimed gets to claim a new horse and the earnings from the horse that got claimed gets added to the new horses earnings.
I hardly even race in claimers (a few a month) and I havent but twice claimed horses (mostly for breeding stock) unless its for a contest, But thats me and not how others play.
