Congrats on the grade one win in the Immense. I looked him up when Roys said you won the longshot and he sure is impressive.
He has been so consistently good and handled some really nice horses with relative ease this week. Plus he still looks like he'd be happy to cover more ground. Seems like the Derby is a realistic option with this guy (#5 ranked at this point). What are your plans/hopes for him?
142457Thanks very much guys!! SILVERTON(KY) has been an absolute dream so far. Yesterday was a big move up for him-his first G1 against some pretty nice horses. I kind of jumped him up a lot as he needed to get some points but his times were so good. My first big worry when I saw the card was that he drew a jock that hadn't won a race all year. I don't know how that happened??? Well, it didn't make much difference, as the jock didn't fall off or jump the rail with him. Turns out he won the race handily-lots of screaming and jumping up and down here. So now I can take a race out of the Derby prep schedule I had made up for him. I'm going to start him once more before the Bluegrass if all goes well. I've been playing the game too long to assume anything. Last year I had a colt in a similar situation and he virtually collapsed between now and than-I didn't even enter him. But thanks for asking. Sorry this is long (Roysian) If we had silks I would put a NWRC tag on the jocks sleeve.
WTG Rich!!! I had narrowed the MB Contest down to Silverton and Lorenzo and of course i went with the other. How stupid am I? Good job from a good trainer and a wonderful horse.
I will keep you guys posted. "Silver" is scheduled to run week 5009-(if he is Sharp) I haven't picked the exact race yet. If that goes well it will be on to the Derby (fingers and toes crossd-lol) Thanks everyone for the nice comments about him.
