How many of you are into Local Bred racing and more specifically, been purchasing local bred races?

I ask because i'd love to run some local bred contests, but it's a small fortune for a residency to purchase the races.

You have the 500 credits for password protection and 200 for local bred race. Meaning just to purchase a simple allowance race costs us 1000 credits.

Is there interest in such contests? If so, I will push Mike to make these races more "affordable" for residencies. I've already spoken with him before and it he said he'd address it in the new game, but who knows when that will be coming.

All residencies should be having this same issue I would think.

Let me know your thoughts.

To be honest Will, I am not a fan for the local racing system and more miffed at the ability for players now to be able to bid these events ... can not see it being really that beneficial for the regular simmer.

That said, I do run in the computer carded events and see them as a very soft option and, usually, gain a few soft, almost meaningless victories.

But, seeing how I try to partake in each and every contest you throw at us, should a series be set up I would do my utmost to get involved.

Hope you can wrangle a better deal with Mike.

I love the LB racing and would love to see more of it. One of the other residencies I belong to has a special board for the LB bought races. When someone buys one they post it and while they are not password protected, it gives everyone a heads up.

I run a few Local breds when a race comes up for them but I don't buy any races (actually one every 4 weeks for a horse I want to keep running and used to buy for the Old Man series), let alone local breds. I don't like the idea of more race buying especially when I can't even find basic conditions( had 3 fillies this week couldn't even go for lack of 3x/4L  ) for horses working their way up. Rich
