On/off a few days... sad news

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be on and off the next few days as my father passed away unexpectedly earlier this week (not related to the virus).

I share this because it was him that brought me the love of horse racing. It was always our go-to father/son hobby, whether going into an OTB as a kid and him making me $1 bets or the love he had for Saratoga in the summer and the two of us going and sitting in the back yard area multiple times a season. We missed being together on-track for only one Travers as far back as I can remember, and that was because I had to move my daughter into college her first year back 3 years ago. We live about 30 minutes south of the track. He got his love of the sport from his father as well. His favorite horse to his last day was Seattle Slew, and he won the TC just 2+ months after I was born. My favorite horse all time is Chief's Crown. Anytime we talked about any great horse in current days, everything went back to "...but, not better than Seattle Slew" or "yeah that was good, but Seattle Slew ran like that every race". He taught me how to read and handicap the DRF, shared his knowledge of trends or what to look for that would make a horse standout and so many other things. He loved his doubles and $.50 pick 4's.

While he never played this game, his love for the real-life thing a ray of light and fun for him along with his 10 grand-children! I can hear him saying "Hey Billy... want to go to the track today!". :(

Thanks for your understanding!

Will
