Luckily for me with this contest I have to pick my own horse. In the given contest I picked Lenny's turf to dirt front-runner type that looked like he wanted a mile and a quarter and wanted back on dirt. I thought he was the type that makes the lead early if not immediately and opens up and with only a few in the field that legitimately want the distance, he ends up too hard to catch. And in my case, I did worry that the spacing from the previous run off the long layoff to the Derby was a bit long itself and he'd be just a bit short of his best. Honestly, I thought the Middle Jewel was his best chance to be 100% ready to roll. Now I'm not sure whether that means I ought to be super-confident or super-skeptical. :)
