Rules and more

Most people know about Texas Hold'em Poker, well this is NWRC Hold'em Poker.

Contest Begins: June 30th (Week 5100)

Here are the rules:

1) Team/Player will consist of one resident who will use 3 NWRC stables.
2) Only NWRC tracks are eligible.
3) Races:
  • a) Any and All residency sponsored races are eligible regardless of entry's.
  • b) No other owner-restricted races are allowed.
  • c) RODOTS races not allowed.
4) After each weeks races you post your best "poker" hand. (see winning combinations below). Must be posted by Wednesday 6pm EST (time entries are drawn) the following week or your forfeit any points!!
5) Contest will run 10 weeks and after 6 weeks, the top-4 points earners will advance and square off for 2 weeks, and then we will eliminate the next 2 lowest leaving "heads-up" poker (one on one) for 2 weeks to determine the champ.
6) Prizes:
  • a) Top-2 finishers will receive points earned in credits through entire contest, plus additional 250 for 1st and 100 for 2nd, plus the winner gets a prize horse.
  • b) Finishers outside the top-2 will receive credits in exchange for points earned as well.
Possible "Poker" Hands (these have been modified to fit the game)
80 - Royal Flush (5 wins)
70 - Straight Flush (5 2nd or 5 3rd place finishes)
50 - Flush (5 of the same finishes 4th and on)
40 - Four of a Kind (4 of same finish)
30 - Full House (3 finishes of the same + 2 finishes of the same)
20 - Straight (5 finishes in sequential order)
16 - Three of a Kind (3 of the same finish)
12 - Small Straight (3 finishes in sequential order)
10 - Two Pair (2 finishes of the same + 2 finishes of the same)
4 - One Pair (2 finishes of the same)
2 - High Card (a win, place or show)

As you can see, this contest is for anyone, whether you have a claiming or stakes stable, whether you win a lot or are an also-ran (me :oops: ).
