As part of the Equinics, each residency is allowed to name a race. I think we used to be able to also pick the race conditions for the race we name.
I'd like to open that up as I usually do and have our members put a name in the hat for consideration. I also think it would be good if we named a race that we feel we have a strong shot at winning (if they still allow us to pick).
This year's theme is 'Wonders of the World'. As clearly there are more races than what currently fall into this category, we can be creative coming up with our vision of a "Wonder".
Here is a link showing the "real" Wonders.... Wonders of the World
Also, the NWRC will be making a donation to the Equinics. If you would like to contribute, please send to 'NWRC'.
Any questions, let me know, otherwise post your name idea.
Thanks,
Will

Re: Equinics Race Name
I dont believe they are considered a ancient or modern wonders of the world But should be and it fits our neck of the woods
Coastal redwoods (sequoia sempervirens) are the tallest living things on our planet, growing 300 to 350 feet tall and 16 to 18 feet across. You can find them in redwood forests near the California coast from the northern border down to Big Sur.
We could call the race the "North West Redwood Run" and cover the race That *General Crook* or *Jungle Pirate* is in .
Other Ideas are Mojave Desert, Death valley, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon or the Pacific Coastline
all are considered more of a natural wonders then a man made ones ? If you wanted to go towards man made then I would have to say
" The Golden Gate Bridge" or "HOOVER DAM"
Also I will be donating $10 or 1000 credits at the end of the month to "NWRC"
