I've (almost) Arrived

Post by Rharfo »

Hello to all in the NWRC,

Roscoe here ... aka Rharfo,

some of you may know me ... some of you won't, but I have been in the sim for nearly 10 years with mixed success it that decade. I have been keeping a low profile of late after the demise of my long term residency, The CR Racers...since the doors closed there at the CR, the sim had been getting a little stagnant for me, and in an effort to reclaim the lost yearn for Mike's creation, I have decided to throw myself (and my forlorn barns) back into the residency fold.

Will's reply to my post on the sim's message board mentioned the NWRC's longevity, and is this that I am most interested in ... I have seen rezzies come and go in the past and a group with a strong core group and long life is first and foremost for me.

I am still mixing and matching my barns, selecting stables best suited for what each residency has to offer by stable set ups.

I will send my selected barns to Will as per joining instructions and with baby steps, to start, will ease myself into life here at the NWRC Residency.

Look forward to doing battle with you all on a residential level and hope my stay here is a long and enjoyable one!

Roscoe,

Glad to have you aboard. Any stable you decide to bring over here is automatically entered into our Divisional Challenge and Trainer of the Month ("TOTM").

We just started a claiming challenge contest this week, so you'll miss this round, but it is something I plan on running consecutively with different race restrictions (gender, surface, etc).

We also have our annual rez triple crown coming up.

Plus, Roys does a weekly "Longshot Luck" contest with a 100 credits going to the entrant who's horse has the highest across the board total. While this is open to rez stables only, the horse you enter does NOT need to be running at a rez track.

These are some things going on currently, but we are always looking for new ideas, so if you have ideas please feel free to share.

Thanks,
Will
