[updated] NWRC transition update

Post by sledge4 »

I've been working on taking the Mike is outputting from the new game and trying to figure out how to get the data in format we need so I can at the very least re-start our TOTM and Div Challenge contests.

The good news is that I'm making progress...

At this point, I have been able to parse down far enough to get just "NWRC" data, but I still need to figure out how to calculate the results I am getting.

Will keep everyone updated. Hopefully everyone will appreciate the effort this is trying to keep our community going.

Will

Thanks Will .... hope we see some light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Just wondering what is going to happen to the last round of the "Hold 'Em" contest? I have not entered any stables related to that contest due to not really knowing what the plan is ... would hate to enter them just to find it does not count, the other finalists might be thinking the same.

Oh yeah...forgot that.

We will use the races for Saturday/Sunday, which is the 22nd/23rd.

Is that ok?

Sounds good to me, might have to make sure the other two are aware of this as well. Noticed Rich had not posted his hand in the first of the finals round before the switch, but i saw his best hand would have been a pair.

Any chance of a points update before the final round, just to see what is required by each of us to take the spoils?

Thanks.

So here is a raw data dump of all NWRC residents at ONLY NWRC tracks from 9/3 to 9/9.

I have the data, now I just need to spit it out in a usable format to use in running TOTM and Div Challenge.

In case anybody is curious, thought the 9th there have been 326 NWRC stable horses entered (and raced) during this period.

Yet another update...

As you can see below I have been able to get the race results data into a format that can be loaded for our TOTM and Div Challenge. In end, it appears updates will take longer for me to do, BUT it will give us a lot more flexibility in stats.

ALMOST THERE...

I'll try to get something in next weekend. If not no big deal-I will never get enough horses entered anyway. I am really missing big race Saturdays already. I used to have 60-80 horses running each week. This week-two!! Not much fun.
