The move to the new game...

As you may be aware, Mike stated the move to the new game will be this coming weekend (9/2). What does that mean for the NWRC?

1) TOTM & Div Challenge contests
The TOTM has ended for August, so it simply will not restart until I have a way to grab the stats. The Div Challenge for Q3 which would have ended at the end of October will instead end this weekend. Prizes will be paid out accordingly. I have not refreshed the horse prize pool awaiting the move to the new game where I can get the same breedings cheaper. So if you win a horse at a prize, you can choose from where available or take a credit payout (TBD).

2) NWRC Supported Tracks
We will transition into new tracks. They will be as follows:

Washington (WA)

3) Weekly Contests
Longshot-Luck & "All" contests will be off until we figure out a new plan of action. Roys...if you have an idea please let me know.

4) Replacement Contests
I will scheme up something to continue giving out credits not being earned from any contests we are not able to run. I'm open to suggestions...

Once you make the switch, I'd really like us to have open dialog about the new game. Your frustrations, happiness, etc. We can also have a "Q&A" of sorts to talk about how you can do this, or how you did that, etc. This can keep going under the "e" game discussion thread I created previously. All constructive feedback I will take directly to Mike.

It will be a bumpy ride in the beginning for all players, but the new game has endless possibilities at this point and the ease of use (once you figure it out) makes your daily sim life a breeze.

Please provide your thoughts on anything outlined above.

Agree with the "sit and wait" suggestion here Will ... wait and see how this "e-thang" is gonna pan out and make some plans from there.

I think I read that Saturday will still be the main race day, but I guess with racing all over the place members may not have the regular number of runners to choose from to submit for certain contests. The way I play the game, I will likely still be aiming at a major race day on Saturday and only enter elsewhere if I cannot find anything suitable for the weekend.

I guess it will be cheaper and quicker to replenish the prize pool with the breeding changes ahead and I will still run the 3 barns on behalf of the NWRC (nwrc2, rezbp1, rezbp2) to help keep the prize pool flush with horse flesh for the various victors.

Things might get ugly heading into the finals of the Hold 'Em contest as well Will ... A two week finals series will throw the finalists right into the jungle of "E" at the most inopportune time it seems. The finalists will have just this last "regular" weekend to register a hand and then it is "E" time!

Will, you may have decided to wait, but I was just wondering if you were still planning on paying out the divisional challenge prizes based on the standings at the changeover. I know you are working hard to get a workable system with the new game. Thanks for all the time you are putting in!
