TOTM Standings

I think I may finally have gotten a handle on the new stats output from the new game. This should allow me to update the TOTM contest moving forward.

It is still a pain in the a** and timely, but as long as I don't fall too far behind, I should be ok.

Standings will be on a 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 scoring system with 5 being 1st place and 1 being 5th place. I will adjust as needed to give everyone a fighting chance.

First round has residents who have left NWRC and also had some data from September.

Quick question... What is race points & what is finish points???

Race Points = Points your horses actual earned in the game. I just capture that since it's available to me. Right now it means nothing for the TOTM.

Finish Points = Based on a 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 scoring system with 5 being 1st place and 1 being 5th place.

I also wanted to point out that residents who are not "active" around the forum will not be eligible to win the TOTM. I instead wish to reward the residents who participate.

As folks starting flowing back in, they will become eligible.

Also noticed that the current point system makes for tight points, so I will be looking into additional factors when adding points. The current format seems like it has a high risk of ties in points.

Maybe I will factor in purse money won and/or a % of race points, etc.

Also open to suggestions.

Any changes would not affect October results.
