Yeah, I will definitely look at a different way to hand out the prize, but then again, it's a lot of credits for just picking 2 winners with doing little else, so it's a balance. Only for the derby is it really a little harder to hit due to the field sizes. Maybe go to 3 selections per race, etc.

So my dilemma is do I make it easier to win, which means likely lowering the prize and the reward less exciting, or make/keep it harder, but the reward is greater because the prize is higher.

Think about the lotto, it's hard to win, but when you do, the jackpot is huge. It lotto was easy to win, the jackpot will not be nearly as high.

Well, if no ever wins then it doesn't matter how many credits are up for grabs. You put up 750 credits for the derby - no one won and you carried the 750 credits over for the Preakness - no one won and you carried the same amount over for the Belmont - no one won. I am not complaining mind you - but when you ask me to carry over a pot on the LL - I always add a 100 credits to the existing pot.

I know this residency must have a ton of credits, since every supporting stable earns them and very few are given away - why not make it so us loyal five people have a chance to win some. Picking a winner from a big field is hard enough - picking two winners from two big fields is near impossible -especially in the Sim where horses do not always run the way they are supposed to (see main message board).

Maybe paying out a consolation for one winner - or even if one of the selected horses hits the top three. I love contests and they shouldn't be too easy but they shouldn't be impossible either.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Oh - could you un-pin the LL championship contest and pin the new one -

Thank you.

I would have carried over the pot for the double contest if someone had won. But I will definitely make it easier next year. Appreciate the feedback!

I wouldn't say a "ton" of credits. I'm willing to give out credits like I'm Oprah giving away gifts in the audience, but I also don't want to give them away either. Otherwise I am better off just giving the active residents an "allowance" every month, lol.
