Freshman Sire Series - Next round + slight issue

I have posted the runners for the championship and consolation races.

Problem I have is that after I take out the 7 horses for the champ race, there are too many horses for the consolation (over 20). So for now, I took the next 5 finishers in each race (15 total).

So I feel bad for excluding the next group of horses, so I pose these options...

1) Buy another race (earliest now is 5/16) and let those horses run in it,
2) Add more horses to the Champ race, enough to all remaining horses to enter the consolation,
3) Don't worry about getting the horses into a race.

Just to let you know one of my horses came back injured so sent to farm AWESOME ORO.(so that leaves 31 horses to my calculations)
Also there might be other trainers here whose horses cant run that week for whatever reason maybe they can let you know.
If it were me I would take the first 3 horses from each race plus 2 fastest losers for the final and that would leave 20 for the consolation race.

I agree with Tom on taking top 3 plus 2 in championship race and the remainder to the consolidation race

Ok, top-3 was what I was going to do, but I wanted to ask since it would be changing the rules. I'll update the entrants to be top-3 + the new two highest SP's.
