Will is doing everything he can to try and make this residency a better place to be and is getting very little help. Come on! You all have a story to tell, can afford to claim a horse, breed one to donate to the residency, check the message board - even respond once in awhile. I am surprized he hasn't thrown in the towel and chucked the whole thing. It's a partnership, people! He can't do it by himself! Let's help him out!
Wow - three exclamation points in a row. OK - I'll get off my soapbox and crawl back under my rock.
I want to 2nd everything in Roy's post. Will is doing a great job in keeping NWRC going and we all need to participate a lot more. I am as guilty as anyone-I am going to try and check in here everytime I visit the sim and to post more than I do now. We have some new members thanks to Will's efforts and should have more trainers in the contests, such as the tour which is only has 4 or 5 teams. After all the reason to be a res member is to have more fun. We have a lot of members on the list that never show up--maybe they should be eliminated so we can figure out how many people we really have. So please dont give up on us Will and thanks as always for the time and effort you put into this res. Rich
Thanks for the kind words. I really do wish we had a little more activity around the boards. I know there is a pretty healthy number of residents who check the boards and such, but I base contests on activity and if things are dull posting wise, I'm hesitant to start new contests.
But, I keep plugging along here trying my best to get interest up. Such as the credits for having a bad claiming/purchase story.
I have a inter-residency contest in mind that I'm trying to work details out in my head, sort of a "Amazing Race" type of deal using handicapping or a mix of handicapping, etc., so if you have any ideas off the top of your head, let me know.
I myself visit this board two or three times a day to keep up with what is going on however I very seldom post anything as I do not have much to say...I enjoy this game very much however I do not do a very good job of expressing myself in words... I do however try to enter all of the contests that are running within the residency.
If there was a contest that required a resident to make a posting to the board atleast once a week in order to accumulate points over a period of three or four months to recieve a prize at the end of the contest.....just maybe....some interest in posting to the board could be generated.
